The town of Vieste stands on a promontory on the Western coast of the Gargano. The medieval part of the town is a maze of narrow streets and closely built white houses. Vieste is famous worldwide owing to its long stretches of sandy beaches and crystal-clear sea water, as well as to the calcareous monolith ‘Pizzomunno’ which is the symbol of the town, one of the most beautiful locations in the Mediterranean. |
